In 2001, Big Brothers Big Sisters became an Agency of Promise. We joined in partnership with hundreds of individuals, businesses, service clubs, corporations, agencies, and communities to make a promise to Ontario's children and youth. We pledged to give them a brighter future. At its core, Ontario's Promises include: - a healthy start
- an adult who cares
- safe places to learn and grow
- the tools to succeed
- a chance to make a difference
The little red wagon was chosen as the logo for this movement to symbolize hope, empowerment, and the collective duty we all have to pull together for Ontario's children. This shared responsibility is about making things better for kids and that's what Big Brothering and Big Sistering is all about.
