Every Child in Canada Who Needs a Mentor, Has a Mentor.

Vision

Caring people dedicated to mentoring children through friendship and fun.

Our History in Chatham-Kent

In the 1970's, Big Brothers and Big Sisters were incorporated as separate charitable organizations in Kent County. They were “entrusted by the community to provide mentoring programs which enhance the self worth, personal development, and well being" of boys and girls respectively. The two agencies merged in the fall of 2007.

The demand for mentoring services has increased since inception and currently there are three permanent staff - an Executive Director and two Caseworkers. The agency is governed by a diverse volunteer Board of Directors.

We are proud of our achievements and continue to strive to be on the leading edge of the mentoring movement in Canada. The agency is a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ontario and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, our accrediting body.
